John Frusciante: Neues Soloalbum
Wer Nina Hagens Song zu abgedreht findet, hat wohl das neueste Ouevre des Herrn Frusciante noch nicht gehört. Der gab neulich zu Protokoll, dass er ein neues Soloalbum veröffentlichen werde, das mal wieder mit seinen heiß geliebten Genres UK-Breakbeat und Jungle aufwartet. Wie ernst er das meint, zeigt der Vorabsong "Amethblowl". Damit nicht genug: Das neue Album sei seiner Katze gewidmet, so Frusciante. Es erscheint am 23. Oktober auf dem Label Timesig von Elektro-Produzent Venetian Snares. "Meine frühere Art zu singen und Texte zu schreiben, interessiert mich momentan nicht", ließ der Gitarrist außerdem wissen. Spannende Aussage hinsichtlich des zu erwartenden Red Hot Chili Peppers-Albums.

Bis auf die zum Teil gewöhnungsbedürftigen Übersteuerungseffekte gar nicht mal so schlecht.

Nach 10 Sekunden hören fühlt man sich sofort in die 8-Bit-Computerzeit zurückversetzt, Hätte teilweise genauso gut als Ingame-Musik von alten Commodore 64 Spielen durchgehen können.
Ziemlich abgedreht aber endgeil und absolut hörbar.
Amazing stuff. He really made progress with his electronic stuff. Took him a decade though. Goes to show that artists should always stick to their intuition and trust their gut feeling, no matter what. Foregrow is underappreciated aswell. I just wish he'd incorporate both of his sides into a liveshow. Similar to the one in the horseshow tavern, he could play acoustic, electric and synth. Everyone would love it. Give fans what they're longing for so desperately. It's fun for the artist aswell right? So whats holding him back exactly? Sure he doesn't need to prove anything anymore, but then again, isn't it what he loves doing? It would be easy for him to establish an event like that, he has the power for it. Something other artists can only dream of. But he doesn't do it. Just to be able to watch a good quality recording of a john frusciante live show with a best of his solo career, would be a dream come true, for me and many other fans for sure. Maybe one day he'll get his shit together.
