Apropos Film: Soundtrack-Komponist Bear McCreary ("The Walking Dead", "Die Ringe der Macht") frönt mal wieder seiner Leidenschaft, dem Progressive Metal. Am 31. Juli wird er sein neues Soloalbum "The Singularity: Ekleipsis" veröffentlichen. Wobei Soloalbum es nicht wirklich trifft: Der Mann stellte – wie schon bei seinem ersten Ausflug in die Metal-Welt – eine wahrlich beeindruckende Gästeliste zusammen.

In der ersten Single prallen Gojira-Fronter Joe Duplantier und The Mystery Of The Bulgarian Voices aufeinander, im weiteren Albumverlauf begegnet man unter anderem Musiker:innen von Polyphia, Guns N' Roses, Coheed And Cambria, Meshuggah und Red Hot Chili Peppers sowie Alissa White-Gluz, Stewart Copeland, Steve Vai, Guthrie Govan ... lest am besten selbst:
