Konstanz (laut) - Flers Promophase für sein neues Album "Atlantis" lief scheinbar wie von alleine (im Streaming bereits zu hören). Frei nach dem Motto "schlechte Berichterstattung ist besser als gar keine Berichterstattung" ließ der trotzige Berliner, der im Bus gerne hinten sitzt, kein Fettnäpfchen aus, war sich für keinen Beef - auch mit alten Weggefährten wie Bushido oder Jalil - zu schade und sorgte am laufenden Band für Skandale und Provokationen. So bewegt er sich für den neutralen Zuschauer immer auf dem schmalen Grat zwischen abstoßend, beschämend und unterhaltsam. Eines muss man ihm nämlich lassen, unterhaltsam ist der Patrick. Und manchmal rappt er auch passabel.

Drakes Schützling PARTYNEXTDOOR ist zwar aus dem riesigen Schatten des kanadischen Rapgiganten, der ihn immer wieder mit Features unterstützt und auf seinem Label October's Very Own unter Vertrag genommen hat, herausgetreten. Den Impact des ebenfalls aus Toronto stammenden The Weeknd erreicht er aber noch nicht. Für "PARTYMOBILE" ließ er sich obendrein sehr viel Zeit, ohne dass so eine richtige Hitsingle dabei heraus kam. Dennoch zählt "Loyal" bis dato über 15 Millionen Aufrufe auf YouTube, und wer hat ihm da mit einem Gastpart ausgeholfen? Klar, Drake.

Unter dem Pseudonym "Against All Logic" fasste der chilenisch-amerikanische Produzent und Komponist Nicolas Jaar zuletzt sein von der Kritik und Fangemeinde gefeiertes Schaffen mit "2012 - 2017" und "2017 - 2019" zusammen. Sein neues Werk "Cenizas" (auf deutsch "Asche") erscheint wieder unter seinem echten Namen und beinhaltet dreizehn Tracks. Fans elektronischer, atmosphärischer und guter Musik dürfen sich drauf freuen.

Im vergangenen Jahr, als es noch Konzerte gab (die Älteren mögen sich erinnern), heizte die australische Metalcore-Band Parkway Drive zigtausenden Zuschauern auf dem Wacken Open Air ordentlich ein. Im laut.de-Interview sprach Shouter Winston McCall gar von der "perfekten Show. Es war die größte Show, die prestigeträchtigste Show, die spaßigste Show". Glücklicherweise wurde der Auftritt für die Nachwelt aufgezeichnet und erscheint jetzt als Livealbum mit dem Titel "Viva The Underdogs". Oben drauf gibt es als Bonus drei neu aufgenommene Songs vom letzten Album "Reverence". Die Besonderheit: McCall singt und schreit nun auf Deutsch!

Sieben Jahre ohne neues Album kann man sich natürlich leisten, wenn man vom Kaliber Pearl Jam ist: Mammut-Band der 90er mit stetig nachwachsender Fan-Gefolgschaft, die sich an Live-Duetten mit Nathan Followill oder Beyoncé erfreut statt an neuer Musik. Da dies aber aus kreativer Sicht eher unbefriedigend ist, setzten sich die Jungs sieben Jahre nach "Lightning Bolt" wieder für ein Album zusammen. Die Vorabsingles versprechen Großes.

Wenn das eigene Album plötzlich vor der offiziellen Veröffentlichung im Internet auftaucht und von ungeduldigen Fans illegal heruntergeladen wird, kann man dies totschweigen und hoffen, dass es möglichst wenige mitkriegen. Oder man reagiert proaktiv wie Dua Lipa und zieht den Album-Release kurzerhand eine Woche nach vorne. "Future Nostalgia" erscheint dementsprechend nicht wie geplant erst am 3. April, sondern schon diesen Freitag.
