Auch Nightwish zeigen sich unbeeindruckt und haben sich für ihre Single "Noise" von der Game of Thrones-Titelmusik inspirieren lassen. Ansonsten bleibt sich die Symphonic-Metal-Band aus Finnland treu. Auf "Human.:II:Nature." erwarten den Hörer wieder elektrische Gitarren, Chöre, harte Bässe und reichlich Powerchords. Was die Punkte und Doppelpunkte da im Namen sollen? Keine Ahnung.

19 Jahre nach ihrem Indie-Klassiker Is This It und sieben Jahre nach ihrem letzten Album "Comedown Machine" veröffentlichen die Strokes aus New York ihr sechstes Studioalbum "The New Abnormal". Vertrauen wir den Singles, dann finden sich auch Daft Punk- und New Wave-Einflüsse auf der neuen Platte der Indie-Rocker.

Der kahlköpfige Klampfenvirtuose Joe Satriani hat noch längst nicht alles aus seiner Gitarre herausgeholt, was man dort herausholen kann. Und das, obwohl er bereits 63 Jahre alt ist, mit Deep Purple und Alice Cooper zusammengearbeitet und vielen Rocklegenden die Gitarre beigebracht hat. Sein neues Album "Shapeshifting" wurde mithilfe von Jim Scott produziert und kommt wahrscheinlich wieder ohne Vocals aus. Aber wer braucht schon Gesang, wenn man so Gitarre spielen kann?

Die Happy haben sich ganz schön viel Zeit gelassen seit ihrer letzten Veröffentlichung. Die Band um Sängerin Marta Jandová versorgt ihre Fans nach fünf Jahren Pause wieder mit neuem Material und einem Album namens "Guess What". Pop-Core, Nu Metal, Alternative Rock oder wie auch immer man es nennen will, Die Happy sind zurück. Und zwar mit Verstärkung, denn der langjährige Freund der Band Robert Kerner (Ex-Bakkushan), spielt nun für Die Happy Lead-Gitarre.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch nachträglich an Jürgen Drews! Quarantänebedingt nur mit seiner Frau und seinem Hund feierte der König von Mallorca letzte Woche seinen 75. Geburtstag. Seine Fans können den Schlagerstar dafür mit seiner neuen Greatest Hits-Platte "Das Beste: 75 Jahre Jürgen Drews" hochleben lassen. "Ein Bett im Kornfeld" darf unter den 40 Songs natürlich nicht fehlen.

Hamilton Leithauser ist schon lange kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr im Dschungel der Alternative- und Indiekünstler. Und trotzdem hält sich sein Bekanntheitsgrad in Grenzen, obwohl ihm mit "A 1000 Times" ein Hit gelungen ist, der es auch in die erfolgreiche Netflix-Serie "13 Reasons Why" geschafft hat. Überhaupt ist seine Musik recht beliebt bei Filmemachern. Vielleicht hindert ihn sein wirklich etwas sperriger Name am ganz großen Durchbruch. Solange er aber weiter gute Musik macht, kann's den Fans egal sein, die schon mit Spannung sein viertes Album "The Loves of Your Life" erwarten.
